Snow days

   Even though you are stuck at home on a snow day there are still a lot of things you can do.  You could  go sledding, snowboarding, or building a snowman.  You could also have a snowball fight with all your friends. Just because you are home from school does not mean that you have to sit at home all day.  A ton of a kids favorite days are spent outside on snow days and you should enjoy them too.

Holidays Are Here

Authors Note: Since the holidays are so fun it is best to prepare as much as you can.  The holidays are here and everybody can't wait for Christmas Morning to come.  

Holidays are what almost every kid looks forward to in a month. In almost every month there is a Holiday. Based on where you live and what religion you have there are different holidays. Perhaps the most well known holiday to us Americans is Christmas. Every body prepares for Christmas with lights and putting up a tree in their home and decorating it. Holidays are one of my favorite things in the year.

Sponge-bob is the best thing ever

Authors Note: Sponge-bob is one of the best shows of all time and anything can happen.

Sponge-bob is one of the most loved child TV shows of all time.  I've grown up watching sponge-bob and I've learned to love the show. When it first aired in 1999 it was an instant hit. I've seen almost all your shows. His best friend is a pink starfish named Patrick. Sponge-bob also is a fry cook at the crusty crab. Best of all he lives in a pineapple. Sponge-bob may not be very educational but it is a perfect show for little kids. By far sponge-bob is my favorite show of all time.

Writing circle 1 School

Authors Note:Sometimes even when you have trouble in school you just have to push through it   Everybody needs school even when they don't want it.

Everyone needs schooling at a certain age. Some people love school and others hate it. One way or the other it prepares you for the rest of your life. School helps you with mostly jobs and communication.

There are so many classes at school that help you for career readiness. Most jobs you need a set of skills and those skills are taught in classes. Some classes specify on specific jobs where others are general topics. Some people enjoy one type of class more than the other.

When you are not learning about jobs you are usually communicating. Most of the time you don’t need to be taught how to communicate with others better but instead do it on your own. Sometimes you are forced to work with people you don’t like but that’s going to happen when you have a job so you should get used to it now.

No matter what you are doing in school communicating or getting prepped for jobs it needs to be done. No matter how much you hate or love school just remember that it will help you have a better life when you are older.

The Seeker of Truth

Authors Note: Almost every book has a meaning to it and Seekers message is peoples lives come together without them knowing it a lot.


Seeker is a book of many characters that that all have different lives that have to work together to accomplish the ultimate goal of saving the island of Anereca. All the characters have different personalities. Seeker is a leader, Wild man an aggressive fighter, and Morning Star a delicate problem solver. The author makes his writing look almost effortless. There were two connections I made both text to self connections.

The author’s writing style is similar to others but different at the same time. He has the different points of view in every chapter but he connects the different characters life together without them knowing it. I’m sure that all the characters lives will come together by the end of the book.

Just because the author has such a unique style it is very easy to connect to. I haven’t read many books similar to this book at all. One of the connections I made is that people lives come together without knowing it all. However just because you see someone once doesn’t mean you’ll see them again.

The other connection I made is way different from the small world. My other connection was that just because you are in a group of people that you don’t know, doesn’t mean you can’t work with them. Almost everybody has a time in their life like this.

There are probably many other connections besides these two that I had and did not realize it. I’m sure if this author made a next book in the series it would be even better than this book.

Patriot's Pen

Are you proud of your country?  This country is easily in the conversation for the best country in the world.  There are many categories you have to look at to decide the best country.  Those categories include government, people happiness, all the money that country has, and the military they have.

           

Overall the United States of America has a well established government.  Ever since the U.S. government was formed in 1776 we have been running a well steamed train to a successful country.  One of the advantages of our government is all the communications.   Our government makes a lot of jobs to help the economy and make people happy. 

           

The people in the USA are probably happy with our progress of the country over the years.  So many people aren’t as lucky as us in the world and we don’t normally appreciate that we are one of the freest countries in the world.  Another reason to be happy is all the recourses that we have access to.  Some countries don’t even have clean water to drink. In order to get all those recourses you need one common thing, money.

          

The US is extremely in dept, even though it is possible that the US will never be out of dept you never know what will happen with money.  Some people think that the people pay too much money towards taxes, and that the government isn’t spending the tax money how some people want it.  One problem with the US money system is that because of inflation some people don’t get paid enough money to live a good life.  In order to have enough money to have a good government you need a military to protect it.

           

The US military has a very high reputation of saving people in other countries.  With that reputation we have comes a lot of respect. In the old day people would just get randomly recruited to the military.  Now they have to volunteer to go to the military.  Some countries might think that our military isn’t good, but it’s perfect for us. 

           

The USA is certainly one of the best countries in the world.  If there was ever a voting for the best country in the world I would certainly vote for the USA.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                          

           

Baseball essay

Authors Note- I hope that this writing piece will help you think about the important decisions of baseball. This story was made to honor the baseball players that make the right decision and not going for all the money.

If you were a baseball player what team would you be on?  Would you be an average player on the richest team?  Or would you be on a poor team and have an upset season.  Maybe you would even be an average player on an average team.  The best one to me is being on an average player on a rich team.

If you were on a bad team and had a really good season.  If that happened you would easily be MVP.  Just because of you your team might win it all.  The downside to that is that your teammates won’t get as much credit.  Maybe if you chose that you could be on a team like Kansas City or maybe on Houston.  Sometimes you don’t want to be that much of a star though.

Then how about being an average player on a decent team.  You might win the World Series, and you might not.  You never know what will happen. Your whole team is just okay compared to a really bad team except for you.  Sometimes though, you want to be on a winning team.

Even if you have an average season your team is rich.  Because your team is rich odds are you will win the World Series.  You might not be a MVP or an overrated player, but that might be a good thing to some people.  I would be happy with a World Series ring if I was on that team.

Maybe there are probably many other possibilities as well.  You could do anything you wanted.  Just because you might not like the choices I had doesn’t mean there is something else out there.
